I love the mind games and the game loop it gave, but if you watched pros play, the way the system worked heavily discouraged extending combos. They'd need to rethink the combo system a bit. There isn’t even much incentive to use it since boosters don’t really mean much XP wise (even Shadow Lords doesn’t do much to make it worthwhile to spend). Retooled XP, Customization, & Gold Usage - This is likely something that’ll change regardless, but in KI the customization, XP, and gold system are all over the place. While the game doesn’t need to become “Xbox Fighters” there’s definitely some room for third party guests or re-imagined old IPs to enter the fray.

Guest Characters from the get go - The inclusion of Rash, General Raam, and Arbiter was a good move for the series and I think it’s one they should continue with. KI on XB1 tried a lot of different things for SP, but I think a Story Mode would work best. Story Mode - Doesn’t need to be super high budget, but something that would allow the unique cast to play off each other more would be great. So a sequel launching on Scarlett with all the lessons learned from KI1 would be a nice show of variety in whatever the launch titles might be. The KI PR is still active and the IP itself seems to hold itself well.
